Integrated Air-Ground-Space Atmospheric Environment Monitoring System
System Platform
Current atmospheric monitoring primarily relies on conventional near-surface air quality monitoring stations, which no longer meet the comprehensive data requirements for air pollution control. To effectively characterize regional pollution dynamics over time and space, and to provide clear data products that enhance our understanding of pollution processes, it's essential to identify the main sources of sudden urban pollution and quickly locate pollution sources. This will enable effective environmental oversight and illustrate the interactions and mutual influences between cities, supporting coordinated regional response efforts. In collaboration with the Anhui Blue Shield and the Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, we have launched the Integrated Ground-Sky-Space Monitoring System to meet the increasingly complex demands of atmospheric environment changes. This system comprises ground-based monitoring platforms (grid monitoring systems for fine observation), spatial detection (radar series for vertical observation), and satellite observations (large-scale remote sensing).
